SUMMER U is the best event that summer has to offer! Embodying positive Jewish identities, celebrating diversity at all time: during the workshops, the panels, the legendary parties, while networking, by the pool or during sporting. Come to laugh, meet, learn, sweat, sing, dance, run and let loose together with old and new friends from across the globe.
Summer U is bringing together young Jewish students and professionals (18-30 years old) from all over Europe and beyond since 1983.
Grab your friends, engage with other participants, meet inspiring speakers or run a session! Whatever you do, pack your swimwear and get ready for some intense sun!
We bring you an AFFORDABLE Summer programme: the price of Summer U includes transportation between the airport and the venue, accomodation (in shared rooms), meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and programme – so in addition you will only have to cover the travel expences.
On Summer U you create your own experience. Join a various number of sessions on topics that are relevant to today’s young Jews: Political advocacy, Leadership, Jewish Learning & Diversity, and many more. In addition, discover the local culture & history of Greece on one of the day trips! Play sports, hang out by our private outdoor pool, learn new dances and songs, and party with new friends! On Summer U, every day becomes a life-long memory.

Programme
Every year, Summer U hosts a wide range of activities. Together with our Jewish educator we are working on bringing meaningful Jewish content for the diverse crowd coming to the event.
At Summer U, we are dedicated to fostering an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion, emphasizing women’s empowerment and LGBTQIA+ inclusion, alongside exploration of Jewish diversity. Our commitment extends to promoting voices and perspectives across all spectrums of our community, ensuring a space where everyone feels valued and heard. We are also committed to creating accessible and equitable spaces, making sure that Summer U is a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities.
We aim to make this event a place of celebration of positive European Jewish identities. The programme has been tailored day by day to find the right balance between content and holiday feeling. All the sessions run during the programme will be held in informal and non-formal settings.
You decide what’s important for you! As a vital part of the young European Jewish community, you’ll get the knowledge, tools, and support to build our Jewish future on the continent with a whole network of new amazing friends.

This Summer U, our member unions will discuss and adopt new policies. Whether as a Union delegate or an interested participant, you’ll get to be part of EUJS’ democratic processes and shape the direction of the organisation!
Venue & Facilities
EUJS and our event venue will provide following facilities:
- Meeting rooms indoor and session spaces outdoors
- A big pool
- Free Wi-Fi Internet
- Housekeeping service every day
- Transportation from the closest airports on the day of arrival (28th of July 2024) and back to the airports on the date of departure (4th of August 2024). The locations of the closest airports will be provided to each participant in the participation acceptance email.
If necessary, EUJS will update their protocols regarding COVID-19 or any other possible pandemic based on the recommended guidelines issued by the EUJS Medical Advisory Committee, as well as European and local governments, with specific attention given to Greek guidelines.
We will implemented the highest security measures in cooperation with the local authorities and the local Jewish community.

PLEASE NOTE: EARLY BIRD TICKETS HAVE BEEN SOLD OUT.
The price includes:
- Accommodation during the length of the stay in rooms of two (2), three (3) or four (4) persons.
- Vegetarian meals 3 times per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Potentially, a fish option will be served on Shabbat and during the Gala. Certified Kosher food will be provided, at a minimum for everyone who requires it.
- Entertainment, lectures, and workshops.
- Basic hotel services.
- An opportunity to discover the local culture & history of Greece on a day trip.
- Transportation from the closest airports on the day of arrival (28th of July 2024) and back to the airports on the date of departure (4th of August 2024). The locations of the closest airports will be provided to each participant in the participation acceptance email.
*We are mainly able to offer Bank transfers as payment method for Summer U 2024. You will receive the payment instructions in the participation confirmation email after your registration is approved. Please, do not hesitate to contact us at summer-u@eujs.org , if this causes you any inconvenience – together we will find a solution.
Union Discounts
Every EUJS Member Union will receive a personalised discount code for a limited amount of participants. The capacity is based on number of delegates that the Union can have in the General Assembly, so we encourage the Union leaders to share the discount code mainly with the persons the Union assign as delegates. Get in touch with summer-u@eujs.org, if you are the Union leader and did not receive your discount code prior to the registration opening date.
Scholarships
We try to make Summer U accessible for as many people as possible. If you would like to join Summer U but are in need of financial assistance, please reach out to us on summer-u@eujs.org, tell us a bit more about your situation and we will try to help you as best as we can.
Registration process – how does it work?
The registration process for Summer U 2024 will be as follows:
- REGISTER HERE
- Receive a “registration pending approval” confirmation
- Usually within 1–3 days you then receive a participation approval letter and payment instructions: Congratulations – you will be a part of the unforgettable Summer U!
- Pay the participation fee and send a proof of payment (/receipt) within 10 days to: summer-u@eujs.org
- Book flights to one of the airports provided in the participation approval letter and start counting days to Summer U 2024!
