EUJS Statement on the horrific terror attacks in Jerusalem

As Shabbat came to a close this evening following International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we were shocked and horrified to hear of yet another terrorist attack in Israel. Yesterday evening as worshipers were leaving their synagogue in Neve Yaakov, a gunman opened fire killing seven people and injuring many more.

Yesterday’s attacks are one of the deadliest in Israel since 2011.

Then this morning, another attack occurred where a 13-year-old gunman seriously wounded two Jerusalem residents who were walking in the street.

EUJS unequivocally condemns and abhors such senseless acts of violence that only seek to achieve destruction and pain on Jewish people.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones, and we wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured.
