The European Union of Jewish Students hosted a Union Accelerator in Zagreb, Croatia, at the beginning of April 2023. At its core, the seminar aimed to unite Jewish leaders and young community members from four countries from the region of Former Yugoslavia, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Serbia. Discussing challenges and strengths, participants were intended to learn from one another while having EUJS guide them through their obstacles.
With its main focus being the coordination and management of Unions, the programme was a great opportunity for participants to share their achievements, and also to train, peer-to-peer style, others in how these were achieved. This allowed them to brainstorm as a group how to overcome any obstacles that they may have faced in budgeting and finance, for instance.
We thank the World Jewish Congress and the Zagreb Jewish Community for their support.
