Good Deeds Day is an annual charity initiative which promotes and actively encourages indivuduals and groups to do something good for or with their communities. Established in Israel, but now gainining participation all over the world, the intiative brings together hundreds of thousands of volunteers who choose to make a difference and help improve the lives of others less fortunate.
For this year’s Good Deeds Day, EUJS visited the central shelter for the homeless in Brussels. During the day, the team were able to play games with some of the people attending the shelter whilst listening to some of the fascinating and inspiring journeys many of them had had. The attendees were very welcoming and our presence was warmly appreciated by many.
Be sure to get involved and join EUJS next year on the 2nd April for Good Deeds Day 2017!
