On January 27, 2025, the world marked the 80th anniversary of Auschwitz-Birkenau’s liberation, reflecting on the horrors of the Holocaust and the need for remembrance. From February 3–5, the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) led a delegation to Auschwitz, bringing together Jewish and non-Jewish young European leaders. The program aimed to deepen understanding of the Holocaust through survivor accounts, group discussions, and personal reflection. It encouraged participants to connect emotionally with the past and take active roles in promoting remembrance, countering denial, and fighting intolerance in their communities, fostering a more empathetic and inclusive Europe.
