Washington D.C (USA) – 11 May 2014
An EUJS delegation comprised of European Jewish student unions leaders from Lithuania, Greece, Turkey, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Poland has been invited to attend and participate in the American Jewish Committee ACCESS Summit and Global Forum, from the 11th until the 14th of May, 2014.
On the 11th of May, just before the official opening plenary of the AJC ACCESS Summit, Jane Braden-Golay, EUJS President, presented David Harris, AJC Executive Director, with the “EUJS Award of Merit” for this lifetime achievement, guidance and dedication to Jewish life in Europe, and his true friendship towards EUJS.
Following the meeting, EUJS President Jane Braden-Golay declared: “David is a role model that every Jewish student leader looks up to. He is a friend to Jewish student leaders across the world. No matter how busy his schedule is, he always carves out a time to meet with us, and to hear our concerns, challenges and successes. We know that he truly listens to us, and that he is intent on empowering us as much as he possibly can.”
The European Union of Jewish Students is thankful to David and the American Jewish Committee for their longstanding support and wishes them a fruitful and successeful ACCESS Summit and Global Forum. We are very much looking forward to continuing and expanding our cooperation.
